The Barn at Two Rivers

The Barn at Two Rivers

The Barn at Two Rivers is an elegant retreat center in Knoxville, Maryland set at the foothills of the Shenandoah Valley, located just 80 miles from Washington, DC.

Original to the Civil War era, the Barn has been newly renovated to provide a serene setting for health retreats and small conferences, family and group reunions, and special occasions. An open floor plan with original hardwood floors and large windows; a cathedral ceiling on the first floor with an expansive living area and kitchen furnished with gourmet-quality appliances, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, including 2 master suites, endow this beautiful space — vintage charm coupled with modern amenities. For larger groups, additional lodging is available at a pleasant motel just minutes away.

Nearby attractions include Harper’s Ferry, nestled between the confluences of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, and the site of John Brown’s raid which began the American Civil War. Civil War enthusiasts are attracted to the battlefields that dot the surrounding countryside. The Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers draw many white water rafters, kayakers, canoers, and campers. The C&O Canal and The Appalachian Trail are also located here and attract bikers, hikers, campers and bird watchers from around the world.
