Exercise - Restorative Health Challenge - Washington DC

This section is to encourage you to simply move your body. Don't even think of it as exercise. Try something new or if you are already have a particular program try increasing the intensity or frequency or duration. You may want to consider working with a personal trainer for some pointers. With all exercise never exceed your comfort zone unless you are working with a medical professional or qualified trainer.

  • Yoga class
  • Go dancing: Try Salsa or Swing dance lessons or just go to a club and dance the night away
  • Have fun playing a sport outside like softball or volleyball or soccer or touch football
  • Walk the dog at a faster pace and a little longer
  • Zumba
  • If you're on vacation at the beach, take long walks on the beach
  • Hike in a local park or Great Falls or go to www.trails.com for something more adventurous
  • Horseback riding
  • Jump rope
  • Rollerblading
  • Tennis
  • Trampoline
  • Bike riding
  • Walk around the block
